Direction To Use
- Before using the X-SMART Plus, read and understand all safety precautions outlined in the manual to ensure safe usage and prevent harm to yourself and others. Keep the manual for future reference and pass it on to any new owners.
- When using the X-SMART Plus, always wear gloves and a rubber dam for protection.
- Before changing the contra-angle or file, ensure that the power is turned off to prevent unintended rotation. Accidental touching of the ON/OFF key with the power on can be dangerous.
- Clean the shank of the file before installation to prevent dirt from entering the chuck, which could lead to loss of concentricity and deterioration of chucking force.
- Pay attention to the direction of the battery connector when installing batteries. Incorrect installation can cause damage and fluid leakage due to a short circuit.
- Fully charge the rechargeable batteries before each use. Over time, fully charged batteries may discharge gradually even when not in use.
- If the device stops automatically due to low battery voltage, it may not immediately indicate low voltage when powered on again. Recharge the battery as soon as possible.
- Recharge the battery after it depletes as much as possible. Repeating short-time use and subsequent recharging may shorten its operating time due to the “memory effect.” Complete discharge and full charge cycles can help recover battery performance.
- Return used Nickel Metal Hydride batteries to your distributor for proper recycling. Follow local laws and regulations regarding disposal of batteries.
- When disposing of the control unit, follow the instructions provided by your local government for proper disposal as it may contain materials considered industrial waste.
- Dispose of the contra-angle and motor handpiece as medical waste when discarding them.
