Description
Dentsply Prime & Bond Universal is a highly versatile dental adhesive suitable for various procedures, accommodating all etching methods. It effectively handles challenges in wet or dry dentin, ensuring reliable bonding in diverse moisture conditions. With a formula designed for minimal post-operative sensitivity, low film thickness to prevent pooling, and a 30-minute working time, it optimizes efficiency. Patented and free of HEMA, TEGDMA, and bisphenol, it’s widely used in direct and indirect restorations, repairs, and as a cavity varnish. Its unique properties facilitate even spreading and penetration into dentinal tubules for a consistent adhesive layer.

Direction To Use
- Prepare the tooth surface according to the specific dental procedure.
- Ensure that the tooth surface is clean and free from debris.
- Apply an appropriate etching method based on the indication and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Rinse the etchant thoroughly and dry the tooth surface gently using oil-free, moisture-free air.
- Shake the bottle of Prime & Bond Universal adhesive well before use.
- Dispense a small amount of the adhesive onto a disposable mixing well or other suitable containers.
- Apply a thin, even layer of Prime & Bond Universal adhesive to the prepared tooth surface using an applicator or brush.
- Ensure complete coverage of the surface, including dentin and enamel.
- Allow the adhesive to dwell on the tooth surface for the recommended time as specified by the manufacturer.
- Use gentle air pressure or a gentle stream of oil-free, moisture-free air to evaporate the solvent and water from the adhesive layer.
- Do not over-dry the adhesive; a slightly moist surface is desirable.
- Proceed with the placement of the restorative material according to the specific procedure.
